Team alignment doesn't happen on its own. It's built.
Leading with Purpose
Where a group of talented leaders becomes an aligned team.
Being part of an aligned team is rare — and it doesn't happen by accident. Teams that share a purpose, a vision, and a way of working together usually got there through deliberate leadership, not chance.
Leading with Purpose is Cadence's most popular course. It's helped dozens of teams across a range of industries get there, working through the conversations most groups skip on the way to becoming genuinely unified. The process is iterative and rooted in the same psychology-based approach behind our coaching — built to move a team past habits that aren't working, toward how they want to work, create, and solve problems together. With a Cadence coach guiding the session, the team leaves having built its own Leadership Strategy, not one handed to them.

What your team walks away with
A leadership strategy your team builds together — and the trust to carry it out.
Teams will develop a working alliance that outlines how they'll function, a team mission specific to their purpose, a two-year achievable vision that drives action, and a four-year aspirational vision.
Key outcomes:
- Foster open communication and create a shared team language.
- Build trust and promote productive collaboration.
- Create space for diverse perspectives.
- Navigate differing opinions through constructive dialogue.

Leading with Purpose + 360 Assessments
The clearest view of your team, and a plan to move it forward.
A 360 Assessment and our Leading with Purpose course solve two different problems — and together, they solve both at once. The 360 surfaces what's actually happening across a team: the patterns, blind spots, and unspoken friction that don't always show up in day-to-day conversation. Leading with Purpose takes that picture and turns it into something the team can act on together — a working alliance, a shared mission, and a strategy built by the people who have to carry it out. It's the combination we recommend most: an honest starting point, and a clear direction from it.
Our Coaches
“Leadership teams without a united leadership strategy are like a group of pilots leaving from the same airport who have been told to “fly south”. Do they all have their own strategy? Yes. But one will land in Texas, one in Florida, one in Mexico, and one in Panama. Leading with Purpose gets the team aligned on their leadership strategy by narrowing down priorities and talking through details. It creates space for the tough conversations that need to happen so they can all land their planes at the same place.”

"One of the most powerful shifts I see is when leaders stop operating as a collection of individuals and start leading as one team. Leading with Purpose provides the time and space to have the conversations needed to help talented leaders become a unified team. By defining their shared purpose, vision, and ways of working, teams leave Leading with Purpose better equipped to collaborate and problem-solve."
